In the summer of 2025, aron! dropped “cozy you and other nice songs” – a six track EP featuring the titular cut and five other compositions that perfectly showcase his Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and John Mayer channelling sound. Possessed of a vintage aesthetic, but with one foot firmly in the contemporary – the release gave a taster of aron!’s way with melody as well as his virtuosic guitar ability and piano playing.

At such an early point in his career, aron! is already garnering impressive plaudits, from The Line Of Best Fit saying that he is “proof that jazz isn’t just alive, it’s evolving” to one of his main influences, John Mayer himself, describing his work as being “as good as it gets”.

Releasing one acclaimed EP in 2025 clearly wouldn’t be enough for aron!, who has kept his foot on the gas, dropping the charming duet “deja vu” with French singer Joe la panic and now his three track “a cozy christmas” festive release. The latter sees the singer creating a seasonal resetting of “cozy you” with the beautiful addition of guest vocals from Hohnen Ford. Alongside this, the listener is treated to a brand new composition, “mother i’ll be late”, which explores the theme of being separated from loved ones at Christmas, and a glorious cover of Frank Sinatra’s “mistletoe and holly”.

He may have been making waves and turning heads over a short space of time, but aron!’s ascent has been driven by years of study and development. Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, he was introduced to rock icons such as Led Zeppelin and Pearl Jam by his parents. Hours of playing “Guitar Hero” led him to start playing the real thing aged eight.

Taking to the instrument early, aron! undertook lessons with a local music school and met an octogenarian jazz guitar teacher, whose influence would be hugely formative and push him into new areas of musical appreciation. By the time he was in high school, he was regularly playing the classics of Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra at retirement homes. He has said with a laugh that “I would put on my little bow tie and dress shirt to make it official”.

His musical understanding and appreciation was broadened further by studying classical composition at North Carolina School of the Arts, where he developed a particular appreciation of Ravel, Bach and Chopin. He has since graduated from the prestigious Frost School of Music at Miami University where he majored in jazz voice and film scoring.

During the COVID pandemic, aron! applied himself to mastering the piano – rising early and gradually explore every part of the instrument and what he could do with it.

Through his childhood immersed in music and its study and his dedication to his craft ever since, aron! has become a serious prospect to watch for the future. The appeal of what he does is undeniably broad, leaning into both studied jazz musicianship and what he calls his “vintage pop sound”.

At times bubbly, comforting and fun, aron! is bringing contemporary flair to classic and timeless sounds. Throughout November, he will be stepping out on tour with singer-songwriter Dodie across the UK and Europe and introducing more people to his “cozy music” stylings.

As we get to the end of a big year for the artist, it’s clear the future is bright for aron! Propelled by a compelling range of influences and having already worked his way into people’s hearts, it’s clear music fans have a lot to look forward to with the release of his debut full length effort coming in 2026.
